The document in this series, previously located at ML A78-1, was purchased in 1884 from Lord Brabourne by Sir Saul Samuel, the Agent-General for New South Wales. It was transferred to the Mitchell Library in 1910 and was part of the accession which became known as the Brabourne collection.Digital order no:Album ID : 1290476
On 21 February 1767 Joseph Banks set out from London on an excursion through the northern region of the county of Kent returning to London on 4 March. In the company of his relatives, Robert and Bridget Banks-Hodgkinson, he visited manufacturing, shipbuilding and industrial sites, viewed the natural history collections of acquaintances and witnessed a court marital.
